Meet Beth!
Beth Charles is a multi-faceted author with a colorful background. Hailing from northern New Jersey, she grew up in a household brimming with unconventional pets like Harvey the duck, Flower the skunk, and Dylan the cockatiel. While she initially contemplated a career in education or library science like her parents, her journey took an unexpected turn when she married a librarian and embarked on a career as a museum curator. In 1982, she and her husband ventured to Vermont, acquiring an historic apple orchard with her parents and siblings, despite their lack of farming experience. Beth's writing is infused with her adventures in backpacking, canoeing, and traveling, and she draws inspiration from her orchard and farm experiences. Her literary passion and family history, including her father's successful books on boilers, highlight her unique perspective as an author. Beth is currently represented by Essie White at Storm Literary Agency.
